Geothermal Power......Harvesting The Earth
Geothermal energy is 5 feet below your feet. It is just not
where you are standing, it's everywhere. Geo means earth and
thermal means heat in a loose form of the definition. So geothermal
means earth heat. It is there for the taking. You just need
a plan of action......a little push or nudge..... .....something
to give you direction. That is the goal of this site, giving
the tools to the right person at the right time.
How Does Geothermal Energy Work?
Geothermal energy is made by the earth. The core of the earth
is molten rock which is surrounded by a solid crust called the
mantle. The temperature of the core is extremely high, hot enough
to keep the rock liquified until it comes into contact with
the mantle. This is the heat that can be tapped to produce geothermal
energy.......Our discussions will be limited to using the earth
as a heat sink for heating and air conditioning processes which
are achievable by everyone.
